This One Is For You Mom!

So...last week I posted a picture of Bo before his senior feed supplement, and one of him after being on it for one week. I went ahead and took another picture of him tonight-for comparison.
This first picture, is the one of him from three weeks ago, and the second one is Bo today. HUGE difference. He now looks like fat, old and happy horse, not a skinny, old and hungry one!

He looks good! I tend to like horses on the, uh, well, chubbier side. ;) However, My Boy has gotten a little TOO chubby this spring so we've cut back his hay a little. And I need to work his hiney a little harder!

Yeah for Cabalero, that is my name for him when he is handsome. However, handsome is as handsome does, and I liked the way he looked with Eric standing on his back. Caballo guaupo! My grandson looks pretty good too!

Pony Girl- I always like them a little on the heftier side as well. I think that is why I like your My Boy so much! Plus, there is nothing ickier than a scrawny Arab...really any breed for that matter!

Mom-Yes, Bo looks more like Cabalero now. He is on his way to becoming muy guapo! The girls at Eric's school think that he is too:)

Keep up the good work!
I have also been trying to fatten up my older mare, Bunny. She was bottom of the totem pole when it came to eating, so now that they are in thier own stalls it is easier to know how much she is getting. She is 16.1 hh and she is very very active for her 21 1/2 years old.
Beautiful pictures with all that green!!!

BTW, very nice blog. I will have to add you to my ever growing blog roll. I absolutely love your artwork for your main pic.

Momma/Cowgirl-Thank you for your sweet comments...I found the one from a few days ago too! I will have to mosey on over to your blog and take a peek. Old horses just look better if/when you can keep a little bit of meat on their bones. Of course, you have to watch out for laminitis/foundering and other metabolic issues--I'm thinking Cushings--but Bo has never had trouble with any of those.

He! He! I AM living in a small town, We just got our 2nd stoplight! We went to help a friend on his ranch, (he just had heart surgery)It was hot, but I got some awesome photos!
I hand raised a little colt when his momma died(the day he was foaled!)I started out with a milk replacement, then a milk replacement pellet, then Equine Junior!(a young horse supplement) He turned out to be the most beautiful, horse. You would've never known he was an orphan! I am all for the right supplement!

Cowboys,kids, and sunsets-
Hey...my town has two stoplights also!! We better watch out, or we will be living in the big city (lol!). How awful to have the (your?) mare die the day she foals. My childhood horse buddy--a horse, not a person!--died the same day that I gave birth to my daughter. It was a really traumatic day for me, because I was happy to have a new baby, but sad to have lost my best friend. I am glad that you had fun at the "ranch!" Can't wait to see the pics.

OHHH! Do you have a Walmart too!!? He! He!
Yes all the work is mine! I was able to quit my paying job to pursue my Art career last year. It's great I love it! I am so lucky to be able to stay at home and do whatever I want! I love taking photos too, and deciding to paint them?
P.S. I never know if I post back on my site or yours either!! "Dang Country Girls!"
