I Am Done!!!!

GUESS WHAT???!!! I AM DONE!!!!!!
And I didn't even have to go to school to take my finals! There is so much snow around here that the professors decided to post our finals online. So...I woke-up early, got rid of the kidlet's for about five hours (thanks Marilyn!!!), and got to work.
Words cannot describe how relieved I am!!! :) Who wants to join me for a little chips, salsa and a margarita on the rocks??? Hah! I wish!! My hubby is still on the midnight to noon shift, and I still have not had time to shop for Christmas. I am really starting to get panicky now...lol!!! My plan was to head out tomorrow, but the kidlets will once again have no school, and the roads are like sheets of ice. Hmmmmmm....what is a mom to do???
Take it one day at a time, that's what!!! I can do most of my Christmas shopping locally, however, I do need to make an hour long trip to the nearest Cabelas store for quite a few gifts. Once that is done, I will breathe a sigh of relief. This weather is really unusual, in that we never get snow, and if we do get snow, it never lasts. Tomorrow will be one week! What is up with that???
Well...gotta run! Hope that you are all having a happy Friday! :)

I'll join you! If I could over my ice to your ice.
Now, wasn't it great to get to do your tests online? That should have reduced the pressure some.
You have plenty of time. I work best under pressure...speed shop!

Hey girl, I will join you for that Margarita! I finally got to finish the Christmas shopping today. I was worried it wasn't going to happen, been iced in here for days with the kids trapped in here with me. Tomorrow is last day of school until the 6th of Jan. so had to do it all today. Whew, I am off to have a glass of wine right now.
Happy Holidays!

Christmas shopping? The only gifts I have are the two books I bought the last time I was in Colorado. If the weather doesn't cooperate and we cannot get to Colorado on Monday, I am screwed. Luckily for me, this year, my totally teenaged daughter said all she really wanted was to go shopping with ME...awwww! She is so sweet...and she knows that I am a total sucker for clothes shopping in Grand Junction-I love their mall. We always splurge when we are there.:)

When I am done my Christmas shopping I'll let you know! I haven't gotten a single thing as of yet.... I'm panicking right alongside with you!

Woot! Woot! Bring on the salsa, chips and margaritas! And I'll bring brownies!!
We'll do it up right, my friend!

I'm so proud of you. You really did it! And you even got to do it online. Now that's cool!

Now, don't stress about the shopping, ok? Be safe while out on those roads. And for now, just relax and sip your margarita, ok?

Congrats!!!

Yea, congrats Melanie! It must feel so wonderful! Just in time for the holidays.
I'm not done w/my shopping, either! I'm not sure if I will be, with these awful road conditions. Oh well, our little Christmas will be postponed anyway, since my family is trapped out of town. We were going to celebrate this weekend!
Hang in there and be safe!

i've forgotten and feel bad asking you this, but what part of washington are you in? i get the feeling it's like marysville or something. agh, sorry, i should know this.

and now i'm totally craving azteca, that happens easily, but there's no azteca for 8K kilometers. and i'd make my own salsa, but somehow this is a cilantro-free land. no cilantro even in the fancy stores and herb markets. bah.

enjoy your free time and the holiday spirit!

I guess it must be snowing everywhere. We're getting socked with a storm now. It's not stopping any time soon either. I'm so glad I have my Christmas shopping done and most of my Christmas Eve food for the party done. I think it's wonderful that you were able to take your exam online and now you're done for a while. Congratulations!

Congrats on being done with finals. It's cool you got to do them online.

I finished my shopping online once I saw all this goofy weather was coming. It's been fun to watch the packages roll in and I didn't have to step a foot off my place. I think next year I'm going to get more organized and do it ALL this way. It would be great if I really could get things worked out so the only time I have to leave the farm is to do horsey things! I know....I'm a bit nuts......good luck with your shopping and be careful in that ice.

Congratulations on completing your finals - I know exactly what you just went through so you deserve a treat!

Margaritas and salsa sound really good maybe that's what I need to do to break us out of our winter gloom - throw a party!

Melanie said...

Rising Rainbow-No, you are not crazy!!! I totally understand what you mean about only leaving for horsey things!!! Does that make me crazy too?? (wink, wink!!)

Stephanie-Winter gloom is right! If I wanted to live in the snow, I would move to Colorado or something!!
