More Than You Ever Wanted To Know!!!

So, about one month ago, Beth, over at the Dog and Pony Show (how cute is that blog name??) "Scrapped" me, and I am just now getting around to doing it. Sorry Beth!!! I believe that I am supposed to tell you 10 things about me, and that is always hard for me to do. Honestly, I would rather read/learn about you, than write about myself! That being said, I recently read Lisa's Scrapped answers, and they gave me some ideas (thanks Lisa!!).

Here we go...

1) I have a mild designer handbag and shoe obsession. I call it minor, because now that I am a poor student, I can only indulge every couple of years...lol!!!
2) I also happen to like big, expensive watches! And no, I don't have an expensive one. I wear a Fossil watch for now.... 3) I like old, antique looking diamond rings. Not that I have one of those either, but maybe one day....(I do have a lovely wedding ring with big diamonds though, so I am not complaining!!)
4) I was preppy in high school. You know, I wore penny loafers, button down shirts, sweaters over my shoulder etc... Now my style would be called "classic" vs. "preppy" lol!!! I was also known to let loose and wear my Wranglers, a tee-shirt, and my Ropers too though!!

5) Like a lot of my other cowgirl, blogger friends, I prefer square toed cowboy boots.

6) I have a hard time being compassionate towards people who I consider to be less fortunate, or less worthy than me. (Does this mean I will be a bad social worker or counselor?? I don't think so. It makes me be aware of my feelings towards others, and that can be good and bad) This is something that I have always battled with, and I am finally overcoming it. It has been a struggle for me though, and it is really easy for me to think negatively about someone and backslide. (I guess this is my way of saying that I can be a major snob! I am trying though, and it feels better to love than to despise)

7) I can be moody!!! I wear my emotions on my sleeve, so you can usually tell what/how I am thinking/feeling by the way I am acting. (Just ask my family...lol!!!)

8) I detest phony/fake people. Want to get on my bad side??? Act fake!!!

9) I have greenish-blue eyes. When I wear blue, they look more blue; when I wear green they look really green; and when I wear nothing at all...lol (just joking!!!)...they are greenish-blue again!

10) I always have my toenails painted. I have a thing about feet, and get really grossed out by nasty ones!

Phew....I am done!!! Now that you all know a little bit more about me, I hope that you still come by and visit!! ;) Have a great weekend you guys!!!

Let me correct my early morning blunder...Confession is good for the soul. However, there was a certain appeal to the post mistake.
I did not mean to make you cry! Oh, yes, I did. The fact that you cried is a monumental honor to me. My words DID move someone!!!
Warm morning to you.

I like learning more about my blogger friends!
I've always wanted green eyes, mine are gray/blue.
So you're in school to be a social worker? I don't think you sound like a snob, you just sound logical that those people probably made choices to be in that situation... not all. but I think that mindset will make you a great social worker!

very interesting!!

I don't do nails nor do I like wearing cowboy boots, I know, I know.

I have lots of shoes, but that's only because I wear them forever. Actually, I'm very basic. I wear only a few pair, or so, all the time.

Holy Cow Bat Girl- we are more way alike than I knew. I LOVE LV- seriously I have planned entire vacations on being able to go to a specific LV store!! Coach, Prada, Isabell, Burberry, Kate Spade- I love them all!!!

Fun to learn more about you. I had an LV obsession too, mostly faux except a loaner real one from my auntie. But now my money goes into tack for My Boy. I have mostly pointy toe cowboy boots~ to wear for fun and fashion, but the real riding ones are square toe! I like the ones you pictured!
Hope you are having a good weekend!

Got it Mellie,
maskes sence now..I think that I may do some of that snobby, get with it, as well when I get a new client that has no clue I am NOT responsible for her cow licks or growth patterns...haircuts can only last so long before they grow out!
But...patience/longsuffering has allowed me to last 22 years in!

~Scratching me head~

I'm confused as to how my Scraps gave you any ideas. Your scraps are so much different than mine. lol!

I don't even own cowgirl boots, fancy purses or shoes, and I only wear my plain gold wedding band.
I don't even own a working watch! lol!

I used to be one of the 'less fortunate' due to an auto accident that almost took 3 of my family members away from me. We lived hand to mouth for 3 years after my hubby's arm and brain surgery, twin sons' broken arms, ribs and legs were healed, though the many scars still remain.

We had to receive WIC, Medicaid, anf food from food banks and churches. And our church even paid our utility bills and mortgage a few times so we wouldn't be homeless. We had to accept a generous box left on our front porch for Christmas by Secret Santas. Inside was stuffed full of Christmas pressies for my family. I cried for the generosity and that we had to be in that position.
Being poor is a very humbling experience.
I have a soft spot for anyone who goes through this, through no fault of their own, and gladly donate to help others.

My eyes are blue. My hubbies are green. My daughter has blue-green eyes :)

I rarely if ever paint my toes or fingers. I better keep my socks on if we ever get together. You'd be grossed out for sure. Heck, with knee messed up, I can't even reach my left foot right now. You'd probably faint if you saw it! lol!

Fun Scraps, Mellie!

I love, love, love, love, love cowboy boots - of all different colors, styles, and designs. I have 5 pair now and will totally go nuts if I ever get rich.
