Let me explain a little...
Because the university I attend runs on semesters, they have a little thing called January , or "J" term, where they cram a three month class into one month. It is a good way to get caught up on any GUR's (general university requirements) that you may still need, but the downside is that you are at school from 9:30 until 2:30, Monday-Thursday.
Once I get out of class, I rush to make the 35-40 minute drive to the kidlets' school to pick them up, we go home and get some chores and homework done, make dinner, and then we either go for a walk/run, go to gymnastics, or go to various appointments. Oh and I still have to clean the house, fold the laundry, and do my own homework!!
Then there are phone calls to make, emails to answer, and favorite tv show premieres to watch (Lost is back on!!!). Needless to say, I have been getting to bed around midnight, and getting up around 6:00. Craziness, I tell you!!! I also know that many of you live like this all of the time, but I don't, and I don't like it!!! Then...last week and part of this week, I have had sick kidlets, and I am talking about vomiting, not snotty noses. Oh, and dentist appointments, and doctor appointments, and....I know...get a hold of myself, right???LOL!!!
Anywho...that is why I have not been around much. I am hoping that things mellow out somewhat at the end of next week (end of "J" term!). I didn't even get to go riding today, because I had to take Katie to the dentist. The horror!!! LOL!!!
Talk to you all soon!

Awww poor Mellie!! I've missed you!
I'm wishing for you patience, strength, perserverance, and the gift of humor. You sound like you need all of that, and then some my dear friend! If that were me, I'd be at my breaking point. I don't function well when the world is spinning madly out of control.
Hang in there and take good care of yourself,
((HUGS))

Wow!! I know I often wonder how people manage to keep going on their hectic schedules. I vaguely remember what it was like to be that busy, but don't miss it most of the time.
I held off taking any classes at the local Indian College this spring because the credits will not transfer to Colorado, so I am actually thinking about getting a "job"...as in one that actually has a paycheck attached.
And like Lisa said...Hang in there and remember to take care of yourself too!! Hope the kidlets are feeling better.
The "J" term sound really great!! Well, for those who want to catch up. And man, you sound super busy. When I worked full time, it was like that for me. I would find myself mopping the floor at 10pm. Who wants to do that?
Hopefully it will be over soon and you will pass your class!! And I am so sorry for the kids being sick, that is horrible. I hope they are feeling better, and you soooo deserve a spa day when this is all over with.
And, I have forgotten, what are you going to school for again?
Try to stay focused, the time will pass soon enough. Good luck in your studies.
PS- make sure you allocate some time for yourself.
Whewee my dearie!
I usually say "focus"...but in this case "Unfocus"!!! You amaze me
with how you do it all. I hope that there will be some give in time soon. I just hate it when My B-man gets overloaded and there is not a thing I may do to help..wish I could cook for you and rub your feet and neck and back!

I hope things slow down for ya soon! I am one of those ones that go to bed late and get up early. I'm a nightowl by nature. I'm usually not in bed before 11:30, and the alarm clock sure sounds loud at 6:15! Good thing I can sleep in a bit on the weekends! Have a good one, by the way!
Nothing worth having is ever easy! Just think how proud you will be of that degree!
Holy shmidt! It would take me a week to get done what you do in a day! At least you have a good attitude about it all!
I dont know how you managed to write that e-mail!! You's crazy girl! lol
Oh my! I am tired after reading your post! You sound like super woman!I couldn't do all of that! No way, hats of to you my busy friend. I hope you can relax soon.
All of your hard work will pay soon though - and we all understand, so no worries. I now exactly what you are going through - keep up the good work!
J term sounds crazy intense! And I don't even want to think about dentists... I have to spend over $400 on a mouth gard :( Apparently I grind my teeth at night.
ps - thanks for the pico de gallo info!
To all-
Thanks for listening to me whine, rant, and rave!!! I needed to just pull myself up by my boot strings, and get a grip...which is exactly what I did/am doing!!!
Your words of encouragement mean a lot though!!! Obviously some days are worse than others, but this whole month ahs been a whirlwind...lol!!!
Hang in there kiddo, you'll get through. January is always one of the worst months of the year I think.
Aw Melanie your sounding like me! lol. Although I don't have any kidlets.... But I work my full tiem job mon-fri 8-4, come home look after my barn of 8, run out the door to turn in and feed my coaches barn of 24, come home make dinner have a shower and go to bed around 10:30. And on weekends i clean that 24 stall barn, plus ride, plus my own stalls, plus groceries, laundry, house cleaning, etc.... Heck my Christmas decorations are still up!!! oi....
I sure hope things calm down for you soon! You deserve a much needed break.
I understand about days like that...normal around here. But I wouldn't wish them on anyone.
Hope the kids are feeling better.
I hope you get a chance to ride this weekend. Sounds like you could use it!
Thanks again you guys!!! I am slowly getting a handle on the situation...lol!!! And I know that it will all pay off and be over soon. This time next year, I will only have three months left!!!1
Yikes!! sorry, I wouldn't do well with a schedule like that either. I don't do well on a crammed schedule. Chin up sweetie!! Remember...this too shall pass.
