In regards to the last post: Thanks so much for letting me burden you with my guilty conscience, and it is now time for me to move on.
Guess what Amber and I were able to do last night????!!!!!
Come on, don't be shy...guess!!!!
That's right, we were able to go on a nice ride. Waska appeared to have finally healed from his bruises, so we saddled up and hit the trail.Because it has been raining for the past few days, and because we spent a lot of our time in the watershed...I mean trespassing...ahem... I mean trail riding......the woods were dark, green, and luscious.
Or to use the words of my favorite poet...
The woods were lovely...Dark...And deep....And as you can see, Waska was quite full of himself. Well actually, he was his usual steadfast self, unless Bo came near him. Then he pinned his ears, rolled his eyes, and opened his jaws.
Anywho, we had a blast, and are planning on heading out again tonight.
See?? I am obsessed...lol!!! Now that I can ride again, it will be interesting to see if my online horse shopping obsession disappears. I am pretty sure it will slow down anyway...teeheehee!!!
Talk at you all later! :)

I notice you have just a halter...do both horses ride with just halters? I would prefer to do that since bridles scare me just a little, possible damage and all that.
I love the pics of your woods, and that poem could have been written about them.
Congrats on getting to ride!
I'm envious of your ability to just get on a horse and go trail riding. *sigh*
That's one of my all time favourite poems, as well. Its evokes such emotion and strong imagery for me. Do you know it was one of the quickest poems he ever wrote?
I'm impressed...bareback, bitless out in the deep dark forest. Cool stuff!
And your forests look prehistoric!
I'd be imagining dinosaurs peeking out of those shadows. lol!

ps...and yes, I've seen 'What About Bob' lol! We even have it on video. Great movie!
Baby Steps!
I shucks! I'm going to have to go lookin' for a new drinkin' buddy! lol I'm happy for you that you were able to get out for a ride. Sure beats the view from the sideline!
I am so jealous, 1. because you get to go trail riding 2. you have someone to trail ride with 3. you have a horse you can trail ride on.
Great pictures, and that forest does look deep, dark, and green!! :)
Gail-Amber always rides Waska in a halter, but Bo can be quite a handful, so he needs a bit. I am thinking of trying a sidepull, halfbreed sidepull, or a bosal on him though, as he cannot stand his bit...or any bit that we have tried on him over the past 12 years. :)
Your vicarious on-line horse shopping will end when school starts!
