What We Have Been Up To......

Well I have certainly been a bad blogger lately!!!

I have had several family members and friends ask me why I have not been blogging, and the truth is, I don't know. Maybe I am enjoying my free time between my classes being finished, and the kidlets school getting out (next week) but I have not even gotten on the computer to check my emails......

Honestly, I think that I have just been mentally recuperating from the past year of school. It was a tough one, and it's only going to get worse next year. I have also had a lot of pressure to join FaceBook, but if I do that, I will most likely stop blogging, as I do not have the time to do two things.

It has been nice to be able to do things with friends again-because I don't have homework to do-and we have been spending our weekends doing fun things again, like jeeping with friends (we don't have a jeep, but our Chevy does fine), chatting with friends over food and drink, and even meeting and making new friends. All stuff that doesn't happen when I am in school!

And of course I have been riding!!!!

We have also put our pool up early due to the warm weather....
...and Katie lost her first upper tooth!!! She pulled it out herself!
Speaking of teeth, Eric had his palate expander removed and was fitted for a retainer. Yay!!!!
Now we are moving towards the kidlets last week of school, which will be very bittersweet this year, as their school is being closed due to budget cuts. :(
Damn recession!!!!
Hope all is well out there and I am once again promising to stay on top of this little thing called blogging.

You have been very busy, but I don't blame you at all for not blogging! I have been busy too, and barely find the time to read other blogs and try to keep up on my own. I am on Facebook but you know, as soon as I started blogging, I don't have time for Facebook anymore. I rarely get on there now. I even have friends that have commented on me not "doing Facebook anymore", well, I am busy! I try to stay away from the computer as much as possible.
Your kids look like they are enjoying that pool! I'd love to have one of those, I guess I could jump in Sadie's little kiddie pool!
At least I wouldn't drown in hers!

I'm glad to hear all is well. Enjoy your time with the family, they grow up too fast.

Summer time slows me down with blogging. We just stay outside too much. Between the pool, the horses, and the dogs, we too keep really busy!! I don't blame you for taking some tome to youself and for the kids! I love the picture of your girl with her missing tooth!! Too cute.

You are so lucky to be able to go out and ride. To have an old trusty horse and to have nice trails to go on!

I am on facebook, it's pretty easy to keep up with it once you know how to use it. It's just like checking emails. I keep up with a lot of high school and college friends on there.

Hi there sweet Mellie!

Well, honestly, thought you were super human there for awhile! Na...you are fine...stay away from things that tax the brain for awhile dear!
Sometimes I just can't sit in a chair anymore, let alone type and or read!
I just love to hear once in a while your family antics and horsey times! You make me laugh and also make me smile because you are so down to earth!
Please don;t go away forever...It is like a realy treat now to see that you've commented or to read from you...some treats need only be enjoyed and savored once in a while. If you are one of these then I will call you my extra rich "Truffle"..
I shall look forward to my next "Truffle" delights soon!
XOXOXOX Kac

Ps Thanks for the advise of waiting till the salmon berries are darker...now that I know about that and where I can get them locally(on the rock cliff trails) I will hope the deer and bears save me some!

Hi Mellie!

I tend to feel the same way. Busy, busy, busy then just blah when it comes to writing. Sometimes we all need a break. :)

And now everyone will want blog updates on the move and Casey and Luna, so maybe I'll have more to write about now.

I can see why you would need some time to catch your breath after all your studying.

I find that I go through spells when I don't know what to write on my blog, so I just cut myself some slack and give myself a few days off.

I'm glad my post was meaningful to you today.

*hugs*

Congratulations on finishing school for this year. I know how you feel, I have been so busy too with the farm, family etc... I find it hard to blog and am too tired at night to thing much either. Take the summer off and have fun. Enjoy yourself and do what you want to do.

Glad to see you are filling your time with important stuff. Blogging is great, but a person sure can waste a lot of time and when the weather is nice and you have things to do-much better to enjoy that. Before we know it, we will all be back online wishing it was summer again.;)

Don't worry about it and enjoy your summer! I am cutting back a bit down to one maybe two if I am lucky posts a week. Just too much to do - even if you are broke!

They are right of course Facebook is pretty easy once you learn it. You can spend as much or as little time as you'd like on it. I like the little quizzes and games on there so I spend a little more time than I should. But I have also notice less email. My friends and family use Facebook or MySpace to contact and communicate with me instead so it saves me a little time there.

Just playing catch-up over here, Mellie. I know what you're saying. I've been living in a tent in Val
's barn for over a week waiting for her mare to foal. lol! And now I'm always over there playing with the foal. No time for the computer as I'm barely inside the house anymore.I think my kids may start telling strangers that we live in a barn. lol!

I tried to get into Facebook, but I like blogging better, quite honestly. I feel it's a better expression of myself, whereas with Facebook it feels more like e-mailing...and I've never been good at that. lol!

Enjoy your summer and your family, my friend!
