The aperature setting on the dial has become my friend.

Enjoyed reading your blog. I'm a horsewoman, wife & mother of two boys (w/football pictures, too!) Have had a trail riding website for Nebraska riders for years www.horsetrailriders.com but recently started blogging www.horsetrailriders.blogspot.com. Figured my friends get tired of hearing me talk about all things horsey, so thought I'd talk to cyberspace! :)

Bookmarked your blog. Will check back.Tammy Vasahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01531335275070860886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9105389627022519073.post-83482496590818146762008-09-18T11:03:00.000-07:002008-09-18T11:03:00.000-07:00I have the same problem. LOL

I thought your photos here were just fine. I guess I am kind of a point and shoot person too.

happy horsin' around!Momma / Cowgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03758798587172414823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9105389627022519073.post-45372221330453366772008-08-06T22:50:00.000-07:002008-08-06T22:50:00.000-07:00Waska's expression is just so endearing! Whoooeee! He's got legs from here to the moon! I like the lighting of that photo, too.

Have no advice about picture taking. Ranchman John bought me a new camera for my birthday last year, and it took me almsot 6 months to finally pick it and take a photo with it...I'm that afraid of technology! haha
My old camera worked fine, albeit taking fuzzy photos with no zoom, so why change, right?

I love my new camera. What helped me was ripping out the bazillion pages of foreign language instructions in the booklet that came with my camera. What was left was like 5 pages of English directions. Much easier to deal with! hehe

I have a Canon PowerShot A560 w/ 7.1 mega pixels and a 4X Zoom.

It seems that the zoom and pixels make the biggest difference in quality of photo. Mostly I just use the Auto feature because if I use the indoor feature then, like you my photos end up over exposed.

Sorry I don't have any useful advice. I'm just a simple 'point-and-shoot' kind of gal! :)Laughing Orca Ranchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03562627840013868980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9105389627022519073.post-16847205040021317222008-08-06T21:51:00.000-07:002008-08-06T21:51:00.000-07:00i think the pics are gorgeous and I know nothing a...i think the pics are gorgeous and I know nothing about how to take them.

Cant wait to meet you next week. I think it stems back to when I brought home the new TV and the old TV was to heavy for me to lift and get to the garage, but turns out if you make a whole bunch of small TV pieces it can be moved very easily. I am now told that is not the correct way to move a broken TV. So no electronics for me!!20 meter circle of lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10170568433356702218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9105389627022519073.post-17467726329766935542008-08-06T08:42:00.000-07:002008-08-06T08:42:00.000-07:00Cdncowgirl- Sounds good. My old camera was a piece of cake...never had any problems with it at all, but it is not digital, so I do not use it anymore.

Grey Horese- Any particular photoshop? I have one on my computer, but it doesn't seem to do a whole lot.

TRCC- So...you can share in my frustration...lol!!Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08682815635702122191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9105389627022519073.post-41838611788931297942008-08-06T06:27:00.000-07:002008-08-06T06:27:00.000-07:00I am LMAO right now! Maybe there is something wrong with it. At the very least if you take it to a camera shop maybe they can show you how to use it or which setting to put it on. Sorry not much help here.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9105389627022519073.post-59445545092300856732008-08-05T18:00:00.000-07:002008-08-05T18:00:00.000-07:00Hmmm... I've found the Easyshare's to be fairly, well easy, to use.
I have an Easyshare Z710 and a smaller (more portable) Nikon Coolpix S210.
I'm not a great photographer but even I get fairly decent pics with these cameras.
Is it possible there is actually something wrong with your camera? Have you dropped it? Was it damaged before you even got it?
I'd look into that.cdncowgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09055181472294995601noreply@blogger.com
